Axel Weiss's journey in the hair and cosmetic industry began at the young age of 19, when he joined the Test Salon of Goldwell in 1969. With a passion for innovation, Axel worked closely with laboratories to develop the Goldwell Hair Color, marking the start of a remarkable career. As he progressed, Axel transitioned to running the Educational Department, "With Goldwell on Tour," where he focused on empowering hairdressers with the skills and techniques to excel in their profession. His drive to prove the effectiveness of his methods led him to open 35 salons in Northern Germany by 1977, solidifying his reputation as a leader in the industry.

Over the years, Axel's career flourished through collaborations with industry giants like L'Oréal and Wella. However, it was in 2016 that Axel's true passion came to fruition when he founded Marc Weiss. Drawing from decades of experience and a deep understanding of the industry's needs, Axel set out to create a comprehensive beauty company that offers a 360-degree approach to beauty. The brand, named after his son Marc, represents the next generation of the Weiss family's involvement in the beauty industry. Axel's vision was to build a brand that not only encompasses a wide range of beauty products but also reflects his core values of honesty, trust, loyalty, and integrity.
